Kerala State Coastal Area Development Corporation Limited (KSCADC), a fully owned government company, is headed by the Hon'ble Minister for Fisheries.
With an extensive coastline of 590 km with the Arabian Sea in the west fisheries is one of the most significant sectors of Kerala's economy providing livelihood to the fishermen population living in the 222 marine villages. KSCADC defines, designs and delivers innovative solutions for upgrading the coastal as well as fisheries infrastructure in the state with the motto "innovate, transform, excel". It also aims to accelerate the pace of growth of the coastal areas and to improve the socioeconomic condition of fisher folk in the State. Registered on 22nd December 2008 KSCADC currently handling projects in Infrastructure creation, Technology acquisition and its commercialization, Commercial Operations & Consultancy Services with an aim to pool more financial resources for the development of the coastal region.
